Signiert H. Schlitt. Geprägte Turmmarke 1885-1930, Modellnr. 2113. Großer Teller mit reliefiertem Goldrand und mehrfarbigem Chromolithdekor: Ein in blühenden Zweigen sitzender Zwerg mit 2 Mai?käfern, ein Römerglas an den Mund führend. ø ca. 41 cm. Der Münchner Maler Heinrich Schlitt lebte von 1848-1923. Er studierte an der Akademie für Bildende Künste in München und entwarf für Mettlach verschiedene Krug- und Wandtellermotive. Besondere Bekanntheit erlangte er für seine lustigen Zwergen- und Märchenmotive. Der Wandteller wird im Produktkatalog der Firma Mettlach vom 1899 aufgeführt. Vgl.
