Geprägte Turmmarke "Mettlach" mit Zusatz "Gegen Nachbildung geschützt", ab 1887. Rechts unten bezeichnet "H. Schlitt". Entwurf: Heinrich SCHLITT (1848-1923). Modell-Nr. 2112. Farbiges, geritztes Feinsteinzeug, reliefierter Goldrand. Ø 41,5 cm. In einem Nest sitzender Zwerg mit Weinflaschen, umgeben von Weinreben und Insekten. Seilaufhängung . Leicht goldberieben. Der Münchner Maler Heinrich Schlitt studierte an der Akademie für Bildende Künste in München und entwarf für Mettlach verschiedene Krug- und Wandtellermotive. Besondere Bekanntheit erlangte er für seine humoristischen Zwergen- und Märchenmotive. Der Wandteller wird im Produktkatalog der Firma Mettlach vom 1899 aufgeführt.
