French bronze pendulum with baroque artist.
Mid 19th c. Movement no. 1152.
"Douillon" marked movement with half-hour strike on bell, pendulum with thread suspension, starts. Indistinctly marked white enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute ring and trefoil hands.
Gilt bronze. 45 x 32 x 10 cm.
High stepped base with historicizing decorative elements, crowning natural piece with seated male figure in noble garb, drawing board and stylus. Light signs of age and use, 1 small chip on the dial, partial traces of soldering.
