In Berlin, student of Wilhelm Krause and Bernhard Fiedler, in Paris in the studio of Eugéne Isabey and Eugéne Cicéri. Traveled Western Europe, from 1848 finally settled in Berlin. Regularly represented at the Berlin Academy exhibitions * Partner auction Bergmann.
