Baroque box and chest lock and money cat.
Case and lock 18th century, money cat probably around 1800.
Wood painted and gold decorated, iron, green fabric embroidered, silk lining, brass appliques. Box 4,5 x 12 x 9 cm, L lock 15 cm, L money cat 22 cm.
Box in shell form painted on all sides and also inside with plant ornament and rocailles; in painted fitting lid monogram "SW" / Lock partly engraved as well as Eingericht. / Vegetable embroidered money cat with ornate appliqués. Can strongly rubbed and small hairline cracks in the stucco primer, lock minor flaws and stronger traces of rust, silk partly torn.
