* We would like to thank Mr. Hermann Noack IV, managing director and owner of the Hermann Noack foundry in Berlin, who inspected the bronze sculpture in the original, for his help. The bronze is an authentic cast by the H. Noack foundry * Barlach, sculptor, draughtsman, graphic artist, writer, studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg, from 1891 at the Academy in Dresden, master student of Robert Diez, freelance since 1897, traveled to Russia. From 1907 regularly represented at the exhibitions of the Berlin Secession, 1919 full member of the Prussian Academy, works in numerous international museums. All lots with a limit (starting price) of at least €2,000 are checked against the Art Loss Register database.
