Alabaster, bronze, dark patina, red-brown marble plinth. Height: 48 cm. 7.2 kg.
Artist's signet on the reverse. Rare model after the large marble sculpture from 1908. The figure was modeled by Friedrich Goldscheider, Vienna in two different sizes (55 and 80 cm). The figure is known in two sizes (80 cm and 170 cm) in marble. Small patina defect on the reverse.
* Seger, sculptor, medalist, studied at the art school in Breslau, moved to Berlin in 1892, worked temporarily in Paris and Rome, titular professor in 1905, regularly represented at German art exhibitions, numerous works in various German cities, member of the Berlin Artists' Association.
